Another 3D printing project with post-production.

Did you know that this year marks 50 years of bilateral relations between Singapore and Indonesia? The two countries’ armies came together to celebrate this milestone at the closing ceremony of Exercise Safkar Indopura, held at the Murai Urban Training Facility this afternoon.

About 500 soldiers from The Singapore Army and TNI Angkatan Darat took part in the 12-day exercise. The soldiers went through a series of training, such as urban operations drills, live-firing and planning exercises. On Tuesday the 24th, we had a visit from Yuhua Secondary School. Smaller and less rowdy bunch this time.

We have the pleasure of having some students and teachers from Yishun Town Secondary School at our office to learn more about 3D printing.

Well, the weekend's here and almost gone. Hope you are having a good one!

It's about time we load another 3D printed model. This time we are featuring a piece downloaded from Thingiverse, called The Drakkar. Since this is a sea-going vessel, we thought it would be nice to try out our timber filament. With some tweaking, fine-tuning and without any support, the print turned out pretty good. It was printed out in parts though, in a manner where we can steer clear of support. With the right temperature setting, the sail appeared with a beautiful sheen, almost feels like satin.
